14 How to enter Meter readings

1. Go to Journals from the Role Center and open Meter Journal window.

Meter readings could be entered in two ways: manually or imported/exported.

1. To enter Meter readings manually in the Meter Journal specify:

• Posting date. Date you would use as a posting date on the journal line.
• Reading's date. Enter the date when readings were written down.
• Meter No. Select the Meter from the list. After the Meter is specified Service No. and Description fields would be filled in automatically.
• Lease Unit No. Specify the Lease Unit to which the Meter belongs.
• Read-out from. The readings from previous period.
• Read-out To. Enter the readings of the current period. Field Quantity would be filled in automatically.

2. To import/export Meters readings in the Meter Journal:

• Go to Actions and click Export to Excel action button.

• Select the necessary filter values, in this case we would filter Service No. and Building Code. In the downloaded template would be Meters' readings data from the Meters' cards and readings from previous period.

• All selected Meters' readings are exported to Excel.

• Fill in the file with new Meters' readings and save it.
• Now import the file: click Import from Excel and select saved file with the new Meters' readings.

• Specify Posting date and Document No. if needed and click OK.

• User will get a message as follows if import was successful.

• Imported Meters readings are placed in Meters Journal.

• If there are no mismatches, click Post action button to register the new Meters' readings after all the necessary information is entered.

• After the Yes button is clicked, the Meters' entries are posted. Press OK to close the window. These Meters' entries would be used to calculate Services amounts according to the registered readings.
