PURPOSE
Quotes can now optionally require approval before they can be printed or turned into an application. This is off by default — nothing changes for existing users unless it's turned on for a specific Financial Product. It works the same way whether you're using the internal Quote Card or the dealer/broker web Quote Card.
SETUP
Two places need to be configured before this is used, both one-time setup steps for an administrator.
1. Leasing Setup — status codes (configure once, applies to all quotes)
Search for Leasing Setup, open the Status Flow section, and look under Quote. Four new fields have been added there, alongside the existing quote status codes:
- Status - Quote Submitted
- Status - Quote Approved
- Status - Quote Declined
- Status - Quote Pend. Resubmit

Without this step, submitting, approving, declining, or reopening a quote for resubmission will show an error asking to fill in the missing status code.
2. Financial Product — turn the feature on (configure per product)
- Open the Financial Product setup card.
- Go to the Workflow > Quote Assessment section.
- Turn on Use Quote Assessment Workflow.
- Set the Workflow Template, and the Workflow Step For Approved / Workflow Step For Declined steps that the approval workflow should use.
- Optional: on that workflow template's approval step, set its Card Page ID to "Quote Assessment WF Card" so back-office reviewers see a screen built for reviewing a quote (with the quote's summary, applicants and documents) instead of a generic workflow task screen.

Once this is turned on for a product, every Quote created against it goes through the approval step described below.
HOW TO USE
The same buttons appear in the same place whether you're working from the internal Quote Card/List or the dealer/broker web Quote Card.
- Create the Quote as normal.
- Use Validate Quote to check the quote's data is ready — available as soon as the quote is eligible for submission.
- Use the Submit for Approval button (appears before Print Quote in the action bar) — you'll be asked to confirm. This validates the quote automatically, sends it to the back office for approval, and locks the quote so it can no longer be edited.
- A back-office reviewer approves or declines the request from the workflow task list — you can jump to it directly from the quote via the Active Workflow action.
- If approved: the Print Quote and Create Application buttons become enabled again (they stay visible the whole time, just disabled until approval).
- If declined, or if the quote needs changes: use the Open for Resubmit button (also asks for confirmation) to unlock the quote for editing again, make the changes, and submit it once more.

Things to note
- If Quote Assessment Workflow is not turned on for a Financial Product, Quotes behave exactly as before — no new buttons appear, and Print Quote / Create Application work immediately.
- Once a Quote is submitted, approved, or declined, it stays locked (read-only) until someone uses Open for Resubmit.
- The Leasing Setup status codes only need to be configured once; the Financial Product toggle controls which products actually use the workflow.
- The feature/setup is named "Quote Assessment" (Financial Product toggle, workflow template/step fields, back-office workflow card) to match the existing "Application Assessment" naming; the actions a Quote user clicks are still called "Submit for Approval" and "Open for Resubmit", matching the exact wording used on the Application side.
