Leasing Users Management
PURPOSE
Leasing users are the people licensed to use SOFT4Leasing features. Previously, this was controlled by a "SOFT4Leasing Licensed User" checkbox on the User Setup page, and that checkbox had to be set separately in every company — the same person needed to be flagged again in each company they worked in, and it was easy for the setup to drift out of sync between companies. Leasing users are now defined once for the whole environment on a dedicated page, instead of per company on User Setup, so licensing setup is simpler and stays consistent everywhere.
SETUP
Nothing to configure beforehand — the Leasing Users page is ready to use as soon as it's available. If you were already using the old "SOFT4Leasing Licensed User" checkbox on User Setup, those users are carried over automatically the first time the environment is upgraded, so nobody currently licensed loses access. The old checkbox itself still exists on the User Setup page for now, but it's no longer read by the system — don't use it to grant or revoke access anymore; it will be removed from the page entirely in a future release.
HOW TO USE
Open the Leasing Users page and add a row for each person who should be licensed to use SOFT4Leasing, selecting their name from the list of system users — this replaces going into each company's User Setup and ticking the checkbox there. Once added, that user has access in every company in the environment, with no need to repeat the setup per company. To remove a user's access, delete their row from the list — this replaces unchecking the old User Setup flag. The number of users you can add is still limited by your SOFT4Leasing license; if you try to add more than your license allows, you'll get a message telling you the limit.
