You will have to use a configuration package, export it from one company, then import it to another. Here‘s how to do it:
- In the OLD company (the one you want to copy data from) search „Configuration Packages“ in the search bar. Then click „New“ to open a new configuration package card
- After opening a a new configuration package card enter a code and a name for the new configuration package
- Now you have to enter the tables of data that you want to copy. To copy the whole Soft4Lessee setup enter these tables below
These tables contain all the relevant data relating to Soft4Lessee. More tables like ‚Dimensions‘ can be added for more information. Note, that No. Series table will have to be modified in the new company (where you will import the configuration package). - After selecting all the needed tables, click „Export to Excel“
Now you will have a configuration package exported on your computer. Time to open the new company and import it. - Now in the new company, find configuration packages the same way like before and create exactly the same configuration package – Same Code, same Package Name, same tables:
- After you‘ve created the configuration package in the new company, click „Import from Excel“:
Choose the excel file with your configuration package - After you‘ve chosen the file you will see this screen:
In the section below select all the tables (ctrl + a or cmd + a), then click the „Import“ button - Now the data from the excel file is in the configuration package of the new company. Now you need to apply this package by clicking „Apply Package“:
- You have successfully uploaded the configuration package to the new company. New company should have numbering series starting from 1. Now lets fix the No. Series table. Search for „No. Series“ and open the page:
You want „Last No. Used“ to be clear if it‘s a new company. To do that you have to click on each value in the „Last No. Used“ field to open it:
Then delete the value in „Last No. Used“. This way your new company will begin the numbering series from 1. Repeat this for each numbering series.
